Email from Marirose Huebscher, 21 Jan 2025:
Hello,
I am the daughter of a Lyle J. Wolfgram and have been doing research for my family tree. While doing one of my recent genealogy searches,
your extensive Thompson Family site came up. As I looked at it I quickly realized that the Lyle J. in your family is not the Lyle J. in
mine. It is interesting that they both grew up in Appleton, WI around the same time and died a few years apart. (6/17/1917-4/7/1987 for your
Lyle and 7/23/1923-3/3/1990 for my dad) Your Lyle lived all of his life in Appleton whereas my dad left around 1950 and lived out the
rest of his life in Milwaukee. He is also buried in Appleton (St. Joseph Cemetery).
My point in contacting you is that I saw that the #6 document slide of a newspaper clip included in your tree information is about my dad,
not the Lyle in your tree. During WWII, my dad was in the Navy and also Marine Reserve as a Pharmacist Mate. His home was at 1416 Erb St.
and his parents were Albert and Mary. Your Lyle was in the Army with a different home address and parent names. Also, it appears that your
Lyle probably didn't have a middle name or initial. Your Lyle's draft card slide shows a dash, no middle name or initial was given. Document
slide #11 shows a page of Wisconsin deaths. Both men are listed. Your Lyle has no middle name or initial. My dad has his middle name of
Joseph listed. My dad is always found as Lyle (J or Joseph) Wolfgram except in the case of a yearbook picture I found online. When I've
come across your Lyle during my research over time for my dad, I never see a Lyle J. That detail has helped me to more easily differentiate
what information belongs to my dad or belongs to others with the name of Lyle Wolfgram.
I always appreciate finding out new information so I can make changes or additions to my tree details that are incomplete or inaccurate.
Your Thompson Family Tree is an impressive compilation of your family history and information. I'm sharing this information with the intent
that you can make it more accurate for those who read about the Thompson family.

Great information here! I will need to look into this a little bit more.
I may have questions for you too!! lol
Response from Dwight Thompson 25 Jan 2025:
Ok, in looking at it a little bit more. I do see the differences. My question to help me get everything aligned properly is:
Do you come from that same family, just in a different way?
And if you are, do you know how? Or are you not related at all?
Response from Marirose Huebscher, 27 Jan 2025:
Dwight,
At this point in my research, I don't believe I am related to the Wolfgram family that is a part of your tree.
Albert Frederich Wolfgram was Lyle J. Wolfgram's (my dad) father.
Albert's father was August Johann Wolfgram and his father was August Karl Wolfgram.
August Johann immigrated to America with his wife, Emilie and two sons (at that time), to Wisconsin around 1885 or 1886.
They initially settled in the Oconomowoc area and stayed there for a few years.
August Johann had no children named William. None of his siblings was named William.
I have almost no information about August Karl other than that he was born around 1832, married an Amelia and seems to have stayed in Prussia rather than come to America.
I don't know what names his siblings might have had or those siblings children's names.
Does this information answer your questions?
