Well, today is your 32nd birthday. It has been a year and a half since I last hugged you, told you to your face how much I love you and told you I was going to be fine in surgery the next day. You said, " I know, because you are a warrior!" I am reminded of the day you were born. At the wrong hospital, shooting/slipping and hanging from the wheelchair!!! It was just you and me. All the challenges that you carried in your life were enormous and you did your best to overcome them. You used to tell me about not understanding what it was like for you, but I did my best to protect you and help you have the best shot at any kind of life, even with the medical/mental difficulties everyday. I would have given anything for you. I now know, you were always the warrior!!!
I am very thankful that you were MY kid!! I know your life, body and soul are healthy and joyous now! We shared many adventures in the last 10 years of your life. I miss you fiercely. I would have heard about your birthday bbq since February!!! How you were gonna have your neighbors and caregivers and family over. What you were going to cook!! Nonstop reminding me about your grocery list!! I love that even when it seemed you were challenged you wanted so much to give to someone else. I would tell you about the little gnome statue that was gonna show up in the yard that day. You would tell me about your yard being a "no f***ing gnome zone"". You were such a big heart. And a big person!! Often trying to be intimidating to protect yourself but when anyone got past that, you were a big marshmellow!!! I love you, and miss you!! My heart aches for another phone call, just because. Happy Birthday Zachary Locke. Enjoy that big BBQ today in heaven. Have a huge party now with all those that you held in your heart. I Love You!!!!

Zachary Nathaniel Locke
July 11, 1993 ? January 19, 2024
Zachary Nathaniel Locke, age 31.5, died January 19, 2024, following a lifelong battle with Epilepsy.
Born July 11, 1993, in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of David E. Wilson (deceased) and Yevette Buehrer-Locke of Grand Junction, Colorado.
Zachary attended Wheat Ridge High School and R5 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Zachary was always kindhearted and lived his life doing his best. He had a goofy sense of humor and could make most people laugh at his stories. He lived a very quiet life due to his health but lived vicariously through his siblings and family.
He was a very talented artist who sketched and wrote poetry. He enjoyed the outdoors and the peacefulness and inspiration that it offered. He loved camping and fishing.
Zachary was preceded in death by: David E. Wilson (father), Cory S. Locke (brother), Doris E. Wilson (grandmother) and Vernon Bopp (grandfather)
Zachary is survived by:
